GCSE Psychology is an extra science GCSE run by the science department. We envisage that from September 2008 this GCSE will be run as a self study course with some directed lessons taking place at lunchtime. The course will be open to students in year 11 who have a keen interest in psychology.
Assessment:
- External assessment (80%) External assessment is via a written paper (2 hours). All questions on the written paper will be compulsory. There will be a variety of questions on the paper, comprising structured questions involving both short answer and some extended prose responses.
- Internal assessment (20%) Internal assessment is via coursework. Candidates are required to submit one pieces of coursework of approximately 1000 words
