ICT - Key Stage 3

The I.C.T. Key Stage 3 course is compressed into years 7 and 8 extra lesson time provided in year 7 to accomplish this. The modules studied are:

Year 7

E-safety and information presentation
“Harry Plotter” Modelling – Modelling with spreadsheets
Research project. – Searching and finding out if information reliable
“Super heroes” Data handling – Using databases to find things out (Querying)
Wildlife presentation
Introduction
“Film” presentation / Quiz, sequencing – Using powerpoint to sequence slides in none-linear form
“Big brother” graphics project – Lengthy task involving merging information from many sources
Gamemaker project. – Sequencing to form a game
Web design / publishing inc. automation for efficiency
Prezi / Powerpoint – alternative software and evaluation

Year 8

Britain's got talent
Village Fair – Finiacial modelling
Let's Dance – Sequencing and ordering
“Tesda” Supermarket – Efficiency in the modern world
Theme Park – Sequencing / ordering and control
Sound Pirates – Media project
Project 1 – Extended projects combining many ICT themes
