Wiseman was made the first Catholic Cardinal by Pope Leo XII after the reformation in England and therefore played a leading role in restoring the Catholic Church. His Eminence, Cardinal Wiseman died on 15th February 1865 and is buried at Westminster Cathedral, London.
Students in Wiseman House can learn a lot from Cardinal Wiseman; from being totally devoted to our faith to being courageous in the face of adversity and standing up for what we truly believe in. He was, indeed, a great man and someone that we should be proud to look up in this modern age.
